Hike up to the Himalayas and soak in the break-taking views, then cycle past the vast green rice fields of Bhutan. After that, take a dip in the Hot Springs of Japan and finally, end the day with hawker fare along the bustling streets of New Delhi; all from the comfort of your bedroom.
You might need a laptop and an imaginative mind though, but we promise it’s worth it!

The Adventurous One (Timothy)
“I love an active vacation – from trekking in the Himalayas to cycling along rice fields in Bhutan, my fondest memories are being close to nature and interacting with locals. Having travelled to many parts of Asia, my favourite destination is the Hunza Valley in North Pakistan. The strong sense of affinity with the friendly locals there is indescribable.
As a nature lover, I am also passionate about conserving the environment and preserving it for future generations to enjoy.”
Timothy also runs his own boutique travel agency—Eco Adventures Worldwide Pte Ltd, where he puts his passion into use by planning exciting itineraries for travellers.
The Cultural One (Mabel)
“I travel to explore and experience the different countries and culture.
The most memorable trip for me would be my stay in Japan where I experienced the warmth of the Japanese community. At the same time, I witnessed how the Japanese establish an invisible wall between themselves and those whom they perceive as ‘outsiders’.
Although an occasional trip out to the rural wilderness sounds refreshing, I would much rather hunt down unique haunts in corners of the city.”
Mabel is currently the publisher of a lifestyle magazine—SmartExpat, where she shares her experience of staying in Singapore with new arrivals here.
